Fitness Instructor

Location: WK Bossier Department: Cardiac Rehab - Cardiac Rehab-Health & Fitness Classification: Full-Time Shift: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Date Posted: 4/17/2023 Description: The Willis Knighton Fitness and Wellness Centers are seeking a full time fitness instructor. A related college degree such as exercise physiology or exercise science is required. Please DO NOT apply if you do not have a related degree. The candidate must be certified in CPR. An American College of Sports Medicine fitness specialist certification (ACSM) is preferred. The candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and have a strong desire to motivate and encourage others to a lifetime of fitness. They will need to be actively involved in the programming and development of policies and procedures for the Fitness Centers. The primary job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, fitness assessment, exercise prescription, the development of adherence tools, involvement in community wide programs and constant supervision of an exercise floor. Several weekends a month are also required. A general hospital orientation will be required.
