Job Description

Requirements:

·        Nursing experience to include bedside nursing and operating room, preferred.

·        Familiarity with Group Purchasing Organizations.

·        Ability to act independently with little supervision

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

·        Understand clinical ramifications of change

·        Experience in Project Management

Job Duties:

·        Plan, organize and lead the Value Analysis committees to include but not limited to: OR, Cardiovascular, Nursing, Anesthesia, Wound Care

·        Meet regularly with vendors to discuss new product offerings and perform regular business reviews

·        Perform Cost/Benefit analysis of product offerings – include clinical reference/perspective with the analysis

·        Act as a liaison between MM and clinical/nursing to introduce new and improved products

·        Acts as the primary clinical reference for MM

·        Is able to bring MM perspective to clinicians during product discussions

·        Manage the Willis-Knighton Reptrax vendor credentialing system

·        Enforces Materials Management, CQAVA and vendor policies, practices and procedures

·        Participate in calls with GPO and Purchasing Co-Operative

·        Research product offerings from Vendors

·        Engage directly with GPO liaisons to review contract opportunities

·        Work closely with and build positive relationships with clinical staff to foster collaboration with clinicians and the materials management.

·        Assists MM teams and clinicians with product selection of substitute items

·        Utilizes vendor contacts to problem solve with MM on product changes

·        Present data to the VA committees using well developed presentation skills

·        Educate non-clinical staff on reasons for change

·        Translate complicated clinical information for consumption by non-clinical staff

·        Works closely with Supply Chain team: management, buyers, cost containment, warehouse, hospital based MM managers

·        Compliance with policies and procedures of the Willis-Knighton Health System Code of Conduct and service quality standards

·        Compliance with Patient Safety and quality initiatives as appropriate for the job description

·        Employee consistently and effectively uses C.I.CARE framework when interacting with patients, guests and colleagues

·        Other tasks as assigned
