The Health Information Department is seeking a Coder Coordinator. Position requires the ability to code using ICD-10-CM and CPT, PCS coding rules and guidelines as well as an understanding of MS-DRG's. Coordinate the interviewing/hiring process for new coders. Responsible for all coding education, training and testing. Monitors coding quality based on departmental standards, productivity, workload and work flow. Compile Monthly coding quality reports, trends and coding accuracy. Acts as the liaison between coding compliance auditors and Assistant Directors. Five Years acute care coding experience
RHIA or RHIT credential is required.
Upon hiring, the candidate will be required to attend an orientation session. This requirement must be met before beginning work in the department.
