Critical Care Nursing at Willis-Knighton South & Center for Women’s Health
The eight bed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit serves patients experiencing a variety of acute and chronic illnesses from respiratory failure and critical obstetrical conditions to thoracoscopic and complex oncological surgery. Nurses work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other disciplines providing evidence-based care to achieve the best outcomes for patients. We are proud to provide compassionate supportive care for patients and their families.
Nurses interested in joining our team should be prepared to practice empathy, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, share ideas, develop critical care skills and support evidence-based practices.
The leadership team at Willis-Knighton South encourages continued education and pursuit of critical care certification. (Nurses receiving certification through the American Association of critical Care Nurses are duly compensated.) Our goal is to maintain an environment where patients achieve optimal outcomes and nurses experience a most rewarding career.
Willis-Knighton is an equal opportunity employer and thus, manages its employment and employee relations policies, practices and benefits without regard to age, race, sex, color, creed, religion, national origin, disability, veteran, or other protected status where otherwise qualified.
