Willis-Knighton Hospice is seeking a full time Registered Nurse Case Manager to coordinate care and manage patients in their home during the final stages of their life. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic as well as a drive to care for the dying population. The Hospice nurse works with a caring, dedicated team to provide competent care and comfort; encompassing physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
Strong critical thinking and clinical skills, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and as a vital part of a team are essential. A minimum of two years recent experience as a RN in an acute care setting is required. Proficient computer skills are necessary as patient documentation is done on EMR. Although office hours are 8:00-4:30, some flexibility in hours of work is essential to accommodate changing needs of our patients. Extensive weekend and evening work is required during call duty, approximately one week per month. Reliable transportation is vital and mileage is reimbursed. A general hospital orientation and a department specific orientation is provided.
