Description:
The Transfer Registered Nurse position within Willis-Knighton's Transfer Center is responsible for interactions between Centralized Patient Placement, Staffing, Physicians, and outside facilities. Duties include coordinating the transfers of patients in-house and from outside, reviewing and communicating with facility Case Managers on direct admits, transfers, and ED admits to ensure the patient is in the correct status and level of care.
Other duties include monitoring the discharge delay tracker to help with avoidable days, and collaborating with the administrative body and physician advisor with any admissions or transfer issues.
The applicant must demonstrate interpersonal and problem solving skills and also possess a positive, caring and calm attitude with excellent time management skills.
This is a 12 hour, 6pm-6am shift.
