Registered Nurse (RN ST)

Location: WK Pierremont Department: Nursing Service - NS-Stepdown Unit Classification: Full-Time Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Date Posted: 5/10/2023 Description: This 18 bed Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit monitors and cares for moderately stable patients. It offers a challenging and fast-paced environment to the motivated professional. The patients admitted to this unit may require titrating drips, post-cardiac catheterization sheath removal, and invasive monitoring. Typically, a higher level of care than the average medical/surgical patient, but they will not require admission to the Intensive Care Unit. The lower nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 allows the nurse to collaborate with the healthcare delivery team, the patients, and their families for a coordinated plan of care. Support staff is available on this unit to maximize and compliment the team. Your orientation will consist of 10 weeks with a preceptor on this unit with an additional two weeks in the Critical Care Unit. ACLS is preferred but may be obtained through our Training and Development Center free of charge to employees. We welcome new graduates!!
