Description:
3 West is a 30 bed Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit located on the 3rd floor of Willis-Knighton Bossier Health System. The patient population consists of adult medical/surgical patients who require remote cardiac monitoring due to newly diagnosed or chronic cardiac conditions. RN and LPN staff are responsible for providing the highest level of nursing and medical management using a collaborative multidisciplinary approach. Nurse/patient ration is 1:4 or 1:5 with CNA and Telemetry Tech support staff. Scheduling is based on 12 hour shifts 7a or 7p. Orientation with preceptor is provided according to experience. ACLS and Basic Dysrhythmia course provided.
