Location: WK Bossier Department: Nursing Service - NS-Intermediate Care Classification: Full-Time Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Date Posted: 4/25/2023 Description: We are looking for a registered nurse for our fast paced Stepdown unit. Our unit consists of twelve beds and patients with a multitude of diagnosis.  The patient population generally admitted to this unit include, acute and chronic respiratory diseases, congestive heart failure, post heart catherization and diabetes. Your job responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, invasive/noninvasive monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasopressor drips, central lines, and post heart catherization sheath removal. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:3. ACLS is required but can be obtained through our Training and Development Center free of charge to employees. New team members on this unit are offered the opportunity to attend our critical care course. A thorough orientation will be provided based on your experience and level of comfort and includes cross training to ICU and Stroke Unit. This position requires you to work every other weekend and some holidays. 7p shift works a 5/2 schedule.
