Registered Nurse (RN ST)

Location: WK Medical Center Department: Nursing Service - NS-Inpatient Dialysis Classification: Full-Time Shift: 8:00 AM-8:30 PM Date Posted: 5/4/2023 Description: We are seeking an RN with preferably one year of hemodialysis experience.  We are willing to train the right candidate that is willing to make a long-term commitment.  The candidate will be required to apply critical thinking skills as well as demonstrate accurate assessment skills.  We perform hemodialysis for acutely ill patients with multiple medical and surgical disease processes at all four Willis-Knighton acute care facilities in the Shreveport/Bossier City area.  We have a 9-station unit at our main location; a 4-station unit at our Willis-Knighton Bossier location, and a 7-station unit at our Willis-Knighton Pierremont location.  We enjoy a low nurse to patient ratio at all locations with team oriented qualified staff.  We provide 1:1 nursing care in the Critical Care Units at all four Willis-Knighton Health System locations, state of the art equipment, and our own in-house Biomedical Technicians to care for our equipment.  Certified Hemodialysis Technicians and Transport Techs are an important part of our team.  A very generous orientation is provided for new and seasoned hemodialysis RN’s.  We promote continuing education and encourage CNN or CDN certification.  ACLS is required but can be obtained through WKHS Training and Development.  Our Nephrology Physicians provide professional continuous collaboration with us on our patients.  We strictly adhere to all current AAMI standards.  We are happy to provide flexible scheduling so that employees can enjoy their time off!  If you are looking for a team-oriented atmosphere, autonomy, professionalism, and a Nurse Manager that cares about your level of comfort, then apply with us and start enjoying your Nursing Career!
