Location: WK Medical Center Department: Nursing Service - NS-Patient Care 3N Classification: Full-Time Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Date Posted: 4/25/2023 Description: WKMC 3 North is a 25 bed medical surgical unit specializing in Hematology and Oncology patients. The unit is capable of telemetry monitoring and nurses are trained in the art of reading telemetry. Physicians routinely request that their patients be admitted to this unit as this unit is specialized and requires select nurses provide the best care to their patients. New graduates are offered a twelve-week orientation with experienced preceptors. Experienced nurses are provided an orientation based on their experience and level of comfort. Chemotherapy certification is required and is available in a five-day course offered at our Cancer Center that will be provided.  The Nurse-to-patient ratio you can expect is 4:1 or 5:1 with resource staff available for a strong continuity of care. Come and join our team!
