Description: Acts as a liaison between the patients, physicians, hospital and the Regional Transplant Clinic (RTC) to ensure patients referred to the RTC have sufficient financial resources available to undergo successful organ transplantation.
They will verify insurance, obtain prior-authorizations, offer financial counseling, and be part of a multi-disciplinary team. The Financial Coordinator will be expected to remain up to date on financially related UNOS and CMS regulations. Will assist patients with insurance questions and concerns. Be expected to work quickly and accurately for patients in critical need of insurance information and approvals.
Proficiency in reading comprehension, mathematical calculations and communications as normally through one (1) year of college or business school or equivalent related experience.

Previous knowledge of or experience in quality management, regulatory compliance or data management preferred.

Clinical knowledge of transplant or medical management in a hospital or clinic setting.

Ability to exercise independent judgement in completing job responsibilities.
